"Memories of Carrie"
March 4, 1995 - October 12, 2000
Ch. Stanedel Revelation Carousel
" Carrie "
and her offspring
Our beautiful and oh so special girl
Carrie left us suddenly on October 12, 2000, far too soon. She was such a vibrant part of
our lives, always the clown, my companion and best friend. What a ride she gave us in her
short show career, making the TOP TEN in 1998 with our friend Karen Jordan. In the
whelping box she was an amazing mother to ten puppies and then she went on to help our
girl Figgy raise her litter of 13. Nothing fazed her, gates were for clearing gracefully
if I left her sight, there were no obstacles too great for her to overcome. She felt
sleeping on the floor was not fit for the "Queen" as she became known to her
friends, so she slept by my side in my bed. When my husband got a new car he stated very
firmly, "No dogs in the car, you have your van." But when the "Queen"
had to go to CT to Karen's home for shows, that resolve melted away and she rode in style
in the car! One of her sons finished quickly, another was major pointed but decided he
preferred the life of a pampered couch potato to being a show star and left for a new
home. Her next litter gave us some beautiful
puppies when she was bred to Ch. Countryview Camoflage. We have a tri smooth female named
Cassie and a blue merle rough female named Cristy who we hope will carry on the ride Carrie
started for us. Cassie's registered as "Revelation The Ride Goes On" and
Cristy is "Revelation Colorful Carousel." We never dreamt that we would
not have the opportunity to bring her into the Brood Bitch Class with her beautiful
offspring. Carrie's leaving left us feeling as though it was time to quit, such a void
made it impossible to see going on. But thanks to our wonderful Collies, my husband
Richard and friends who encouraged us to continue, we cannot very well cancel the
"ride". We will continue with her girls and treasure every moment and memory we
had with Carrie.
Someday as we approach the Rainbow Bridge, there will be our beautiful friends waiting
with tails wagging, Misty will be sounding the alarm as usual, Brando the gentleman he
always was will wait politely, smiling as only he could do, but there will be the ever
watchful and protective tri-smooth who will clear the gate to come running to me as she
always did and we will all walk together forever. Rest well my beloved Carrie until I join
you.

Carrie went from whelping box with a litter of ten to the show ring where she has
racked up an impressive list of BOV's at all breed and Specialty's. The first two of
her sons to hit the show ring are following. One with both majors and his brother
starting with minors.
